Spring Easter Minis {2018 Edition}

WEBSammy

For the sixth year in a row, Andrea Hauck Photography is offering Spring Easter Mini Sessions.  This year the sessions will take place in the studio located at 224 S Main #114 and feature a live bunny named Sammy (featured above!) and his friend “Brownie” along with maybe another guest star appearance from an anonymous bunny.  My reliable, fabulous bunny handler, Alyssa, will once again be assisting with the bunny component of the sessions.

The studio backdrop is made for smaller children and offers limited space.  Larger families, please inquire prior to booking to make sure we can fit!  The theme of the session is simplicity — clean white backdrop with minimal props — a large boxwood wreath, a bench, and a bunny!  The session will focus on the children and their interaction with the bunny.   We do welcome you to bring Easter Baskets or other small props you wish to use in the session.

Clients can opt to purchase the packages as listed below.  The photographer will select the images; however, the client can opt to add on a proof gallery where they select the final images for edit ($15 add on).  Additionally all images are provided through digital download unless a CD is added to the package ($15).

Homecoming {Yuma, AZ}

I met this sweet family when the little guy on the right was in mom’s belly and then we met up again for his newborn shoot a couple months later.  Fast forward one more toddler and a baby 12-days-out and we are at Dad’s homecoming.  Dad had been away 7-months and boy had life changed a bit back in Yuma while he was away.  Thankfully their sweet baby girl didn’t pull any surprises before his return and this beautiful family of four is together again and ready to welcome their fifth member any day.  Enjoy a little peek at what goes down at a military homecoming when you have a couple toddlers and a baby on the way.  All I can say is this mom deserves more than one day at the spa!  She’s been nothing short of a rock-star while dad has been away serving our great country.

…a little welcome home strangle goes a long way!

So glad to see this family together again!  And to think mom wasn’t sure about how the boys might react to seeing dad again.  They handled it like champs.  I think we all will have smiles for days from this homecoming.

Welcome Home!

An Olive Farm Wedding {Brawley, CA}

Robyn’s parent’s farmhouse situated on the family’s Brawley, CA olive farm was the perfect setting for Jay and Robyn to become husband and wife.  With Jay’s family immersed in local agriculture and Robyn’s as well, the wedding decor and ambiance was a perfect match for this sweet couple and their beautiful wedding day!   Robyn’s mom and dad transformed the pasture next to their home into the a gorgeous sprawling lawn for the reception to take place with the sun setting behind the grand venue.  With many helping hands the transformation was picture perfect!

Jay and Robyn consider themselves to be very private people and enjoyed an intimate ceremony with their family prior to the glorious reception celebration.  Robyn’s veil and the cake topper both have historical significance to the family.  The treasured heirlooms date back to the 1800s and  five generations of brides have chosen to wear the veil in her own unique way and the cake topper is always adored by the guests, especially once they know it’s great meaning.  I loved being able to capture all this unique and special touches to their wedding day!

Robyn teased Jay with hints about her gown leading up to the day and at the first look there was no doubt it took his breath away.  It was also so sweet that Jay surprised Robyn with a signature bowtie from Charlestown, SC where Robyn had attended college.

Many kudos to an amazing team of individuals who assisted with the event…

The Hors d’oeuvres stole the show in the catering department.  Ricardo Rubio with R&D Catering in Brawley did a lovely job setting the stage for a relaxed and social event with a beautiful array of appetizers including, fried artichokes with lemon aioli, Huli Huli chicken skewers, shrimp and grits, teriyaki beef tenderloin crostini with cabbage slaw, and bacon wrapped dates.   Additional dinner catering was provided by a group out of San Diego.

Last but not least, my lovely assistant, Tammy Porter!  We always enjoy our photography adventures and this was no exception!

Congratulations, Jay and Robyn!  I wish you a very happy and healthy future together as husband and wife!

LoveAtLaster {Luke&Megan}

I met this sweet couple at their engagement shoot and I looked forward to their wedding for months and it did not disappoint!  The historic Quartermaster Depot Barn was elegantly decorated with pews and gorgeous florals to personalize the wedding ceremony.  The reception took place on the grounds of the Depot with unique details right down to the popcorn station.  Every aspect of the day was beautifully planned by their wonderful  families and wedding team.  It’s always such a treat to work amongst such talent to capture a couple’s wedding day.

Bravo to this cast of VIPs for all their efforts…

And the event was captured by my team including Maranda Peterson and Tess Welch  along with Videographer, Cameron Alfred.

Megan and Luke found the most enjoyable part of the wedding the many amazing people that they care about being able to come together in one location to celebrate their marriage. There were many memories made that night for everyone.  Memories that will be cherished.  Enjoy a peek at the Laster Wedding which took place on Saturday, November 11th, 2017.

Cody and Liz {Yuma Wedding}

Cody and Liz were married at St. Francis Church on Friday, November 10th 2017.  Cody’s mid-western family joined Liz’s Yuma-based family for a day of celebration as the two families became one.  Cody and Liz’s sweet daughter was a ray of sunshine throughout the day as she served as the flower girl to mom and dad.  Cody and Liz elected to take their formal portraits along the Colorado River at West Wetlands park.  I was so impressed by these fitness buffs when they did not hesitate to climb a huge dirt pile to get the prefect silhouette shot at the end of the formals.

A tented reception followed at Julieanna’s Patio Cafe where they were joined and celebrated by many family, friends and colleagues.

A special thank you to Roxy Meyer for not only introducing me to the couple, but stepping in as my second shooter on their wedding day.
Congratulations, Cody and Liz!
